    The Primary Teachers’ Network (PTN) is a member of the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW (PTC NSW). PTN adopts the PTC NSW Professional Development Policy as the guiding policy for professional development delivered by PTN.

    Ongoing professional development contributes to the quality of teaching practice and supports student learning. The recognition of professional development experiences values the contribution of teachers to the community. A significant role of PTN is to provide quality continuing professional development for their teacher members.

    The Primary Teachers’ Network (PTN) is a member of the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW (PTC NSW). PTN adopts the PTC NSW Occupational Health and Safety Statement as the guiding Statement for PTN.

    PTN is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the working environment for its Board of Management (BOM) members, employees and visitors. All BOM, association members and employees of PTN should regard accident prevention and working safely as a collective and individual responsibility.

    The Primary Teachers’ Network (PTN) is a member of the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW (PTC NSW). PTN adopts the PTC NSW Indigenous Education Policy as the guiding policy for PTN.

    Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education includes both the overall education of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander* students and the education of all students about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, cultures and history. Access to quality education is a fundamental right, enjoyed by the vast majority of Australians, which in the past Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have not been able to enjoy to the same extent as other Australians.

    The Primary Teachers’ Network (PTN) is a member of the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW (PTC NSW). PTN adopts the PTC NSW Human Rights in Education Policy as the guiding Policy for PTN.

    PTN affirms the principles proclaimed in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Australian Anti Discrimination Act 1975 and the NSW Anti Discrimination Act 1977.

    The Primary Teachers’ Network (PTN) is a member of the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW (PTC NSW). PTN adopts the PTC NSW Equal Opportunity Statement as the guiding Statement for PTN.

    PTN must always work ethically and act in good faith in the interest of education. The Board of Management (BOM) and employees must make decisions and take actions which best serve the interest of education. When making decisions, employees should not consider their private or personal interests.
