ABC site aimed at young people, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, to promote interest in traditional and contemporary Indigenous life within new media, visual arts, writing, music, history, sports, reading and nutrition. Contains, games, book reviews, gallery of photos and pictures, and a chat room.
Us Mob ( Middle Childhood-Early Adolesence). Produced in association with Tangentyere Council and ABC Online. Watch Central Australian Aboriginal teenagers on video, read and listen to their text diaries, play survival games, learn about Aboriginal life, join a chat forum.
Pals gives children a platform from which to understand and explore the rich diversity of Indigenous heritage and what it means to be Indigenous in WA in the 21 st century. Focusing on Indigenous heritage and culture, PALS is based on the core attributes of Partnership, Acceptance, Learning and Sharing and encourages young people to take a leadership role in strengthening the relationships that exist in their local community between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. PALS is aligned to the teaching syllabus and has been developed with the support of the Department of Education and Training, Catholic Education Office and the Association of Independent Schools of WA.
Dust Echoes , produced by ABC New Media and Digital Services, Warmun community and others. A children’s multi-platform series revolving around five Dreamtime stories interpreted by animators, musicians, artists, writers and actors. It includes lesson plans, games, and goodies like screensavers, wallpaper and ecards.
